ICE – The Italian Trade Agency (ITA – www.ice.it) has been providing information, assistance, consulting, promotion and training to the Italian SME from all industrial sectors, with a motivated and qualified organization and a widespread network of offices abroad (78 of which 64 Offices and 14 Points Correspondence), for over 90 years (1926).

In particular, ITA promotes the Italian agrofood products abroad through programs aimed at making foreign consumers familiar with the true flavors of the Italian tradition and food culture, one of the most appreciated cuisines in the world.

For the promotion of the national agro-food Sector, ITA organizes collective exhibition of Italian companies in the main international trade fairs, single or multi-thematic workshops and seminars, training courses for buyers, chefs and offline/online promotions of the Italian products with the main large-scale retail channel. In addition, ITA is a partner of several Associations, local Authorities and Consortia with which fosters the matching between the Italian food offer and the foreign specialized demand, also inviting buyers for incoming missions in order to make them know and closely appreciate the countless representative values of food quality, tradition and culture, as well as the Italian style and creativity that make products unique.

Due to the emergency of the COVID-19 outbreak and the replan of the 20th edition of the International Food Show CIBUS on May 4th-7th, 2021, the Italian Trade Agency still supports the trade fair system and promotes the Cibus Forum, a new appointment sponsored by Fiere di Parma and Federalimentare for the restart of the agrofood Sector. Therefore, Fiere di Parma, ITA and Federalimentare renew a consolidated synergy after more than 17 years of shared efforts aimed at supporting the internationalization of the agrofood sector.

Trade fairs still represent crucial opportunities to meet, develop and consolidate business relations with foreign markets. Pending the next edition of Cibus 2021, all previously planned activities – such as the incoming foreign buyers and the visits to factories of the most significant production areas – will be enhanced throughout the whole year. Cibus Forum is not only intended to host discussion about the current business situation between institutions, entrepreneurs and experts but also does it want to highlight opportunities and strategies for the agrofood industry restart.

Since 2015, with the launch of an innovative multi-channel strategy, ITA has been supporting the digital transformation of Italian companies through e-commerce and international platforms active on foreign markets. During the 2 days of the forum, an infodesk will be available for companies interested in broadening their knowledge on the latest agreements signed between ITA and the main e-commerce players for the establishment of virtual Made in Italy showcases, an expression of the excellence of the Italian products.
